How do I transfer my site to InSiteful Solutions after I have signed up?

If you've already registered a domain with someone other than InSiteful Solutions,

Domain name transfers can go very smoothly with Network Solutions (the InterNIC) if everything is submitted properly. To avoid unnecessary delays please take the time to check the following BEFORE you sign up. Look up your domain name at the InterNIC "whois" at http://www.internic.net/whois.html. 99% of the problems with domain name transfers involve not being able to receive e-mail at the address the InterNIC has for you. If you cannot receive e-mail at the address Network Solutions "whois" shows as the administrative contact e-mail address please read paragraph 1 below. Network Solutions is no longer a monopoly; so you may have registered your domain name with another registrar. If this is the case be sure to read paragraph 2 below.

  1. Make sure you can receive e-mail at the e-mail address listed for the Administrative Contact on the domain. This is the address the InterNIC will mail the form required to approve the domain name transfer. If you are the administrative contact and no longer have access to the listed e-mail address, you should change this address with the InterNIC before signing up with us. They have an online form to do this at . An alternative method (if you do not have access to the administrative contact e-mail account) is to speak to the Technical Contact listed and ask them to approve the transfer.

  2. If you have registered your domain name with another registrar such as Register.com or WorldNIC you should have a login name and password at that registrar's web site to modify your domain information. You will need to change the name and IP addresses of the Primary and Secondary Domain Name Servers to ours. The information you need concerning our domain Name Servers is:

  3. If you receive an e-mail from Network Solutions after you sign up saying that there is an error on your transfer request, please file the tracking number on that e-mail as a tech support request, and we will ask them to process it manually for you.
